Daisy is a wanted person. If you find her take her to the principal and get the principal to make her scrub the floor. And clean the cafeteria.
But beware she is very strong.
The Environmental Teacher.
First, the person who inspires me was my teacher last year but that’s not the reason why I chose him. I have other reasons too.
First of all he was the one who looked after the enviro projects. Such as the floating duck house.
Which was basically a disaster. But it was pretty fun designing and making the floating duck house. The only part that I didn't like was when we had to lift it up the hill without any help from the adults!
We also looked after ducks. we had duck monitors that feed the ducks, but every day our class would walk up the hill to feed the ducks then we would talk about what the next change should be
Secondly he is playful because when we interrupt him he says mate stop it and he has playful arguments with the boys about who won in soccer!
My third reason is he taught us about pest control and every couple of weeks we would go down to the wetlands to reset the traps that we put in places at the start of the year, and once when we went down to the wetlands we brought rotten eggs with us and when we got there rob threw the rotten eggs around the traps so that the pests get attracted and then they get trapped!
My fourth reason is that he lets us figure things out like the floating duck house and the hawk scarer that we made.
This morning Mum, Dad, Brielle, Arnya and I went to Henderson bay. We went up to the sand dunes and looked for kauri roots and gum. We didn’t find much kauri gum but we did find some kauri roots. We also had a swim. It was so much fun! The sand made a squeaky noise when you rubbed your feet on it. When we left we went and got fruit ice-cream. It was delicious!!
12 or more players. No running or stepping with the ball.
1 ball. Don’t snatch the ball off other players.
2 nets. If you catch the ball at the same time, its
1 court a toss up between two players.
Each player has a special position and there are
Places on the court that they can or
Cannot go.
Players arrive and warm up together, then they do practices.
Split up the players into two teams.
The game starts with a bell and the umpires whistle.
There will be only 6 players in each team.
You pass the ball to your team and try to get a goal.
You throw the ball into the hoop.
After 10 minutes the whistle blows for a 2 minute break,
There is 4 quarters all together.
After the game you count up your scores, whichever team which has the most goals wins.
We won the enviromental and sustainability award category and got $20,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These are some of the school projects that we did. we have school ducks that we feed and care for.
we do a lot of gardening and traping rats, stoats and other predators to native birds.we make honey and bees wax wraps. we also do recycling.
There is a turtle named Urtle. There is a fish named Fred. They lived in shallows of the pacific ocean. The turtle is grumpy and the fish likes to tease. The fish and the turtle are friends against the odds. They liked to play hide and go seek with the local pyjama shark. And when the pyjama shark got hungry, Fred the fish would come out of his hiding place and say… “come and eat me come and eat me.” Then Fred would swim away to the safety of the shallow waters Urtle would have to race after Fred before the pajama shark got him. Every time this happened Urtle told Fred off. “Your going to get us in big trouble one day.” he said just as an orca came and ate the pyjama shark whole.” “Ohh now I'm going to have to tease you.” laughed Fred.
On Wednesday our class went to kauri where two ladies were waiting for us to talk to us about healthy and unhealthy oceans on the tables were V-R Headsets. The ladies told us what we would see in the V-R Headsets. Then we finally put on the headsets the ladies told us that we would see a school of kingys.THen the ladies put on one of the videos, she asked us if this video was a healthy or unhealthy sea. We said it was healthy. Then she showed us another video and she asked us the same again, we said it was unhealthy. Then she showed us a few more videos and asked us a few questions about how we could stop over fishing. Then the ladies showed us some bonus videos.
how can we stop over-fishing here are some of our classes ideas.
Only take what you need.
Change fishing limits.
More rahui.
Stop selling fish.
Write a letter to the prime minister to limit commercial fishing.

The first time Craig Foster saw the octopus she looked like a pile of shells. even the fish were confused.
He soon made a relationship in which he got to see what she did in her life and some of the time she looked like a lady in a colorful dress, but then he lost her. He started tracking her. After a week he found her again.
Once he found her he started researching about octopuses he found out that octopuses have 2000 sucers and also over two thirds of their brain is in their tentacles. craig foster also found out that octopuses are nocturnal
Then he realised that she never hunted in the day so he left the house at night and found her in the shallow waters catching fish and eating them. Then one day a shark attacked her. She lost an arm but it grew back. But one time he found her in her den with a boy octopus and he knew that it was the end. BY INDIGO
Most people would think that devices are better than books and paper . But I think the opposite and I’ll tell you why.
My first reason is that devices can hurt your brain and your eyes. This has happened to a friend of my mums. But it was only her eyes so she needed blue light glasses. Has this ever happened to you? I found out that Scientists have been researching the effects of Blue Light for almost 50 years. Crazy right? The most recent evidence is that only extreme and sustained exposure to blue light may cause damage to your eyes.
Here is my second reason: devices have spell check which means you rely on the device you are using in school and you don't learn anything. For example if you had done something wrong the device would tell you.
My third reason is if you drop your device or spill water on it, that is the end and you will have to buy another one wasting a lot of money. Where as if you drop paper it wouldn't necessarily rip. Also once your device is broken if you have work on it then your work is gone and you will have to restart it.
My fourth reason is that devices need the internet but pen and paper don’t. Which means that you can take a pencil and paper anywhere you want and still work on it. For example my grandparents house does not have internet, so I like to draw and write letters at their place. Even if you have data it still will cost money but a packet of 500 pieces of paper can cost $6.99 and 1 month of data would cost you $80.
My fifth reason is that science has proven that we absorb more information when we are writing notes by hand. Do you know why? The reason is that we are paying more attention because we have to write stuff down.
The next reason is that devices are made to keep people addicted and suck you in creepy right? The people who make devices change them basically every year to make devices better and better so that you go on them more than you usually would. It is called algorithms when the device follows your patterns so it gives you things that you might like.
My seventh point is red light. Do you know what that is? I’ll tell you it is when you watch a device too late at night so it messes up your sleeping pattern so you don't get as much sleep as you usually do. This is because the device that you are using fires up your brain so your brain can’t rest.
My fifth reason is that devices can have problems or you might forget the password and sometimes they can start glitching which can be very annoying when you're trying to read something on your device. A Lot of things can happen to a device that you wouldn't want to happen. But paper doesn't need a lock unless it’s your diary and also paper is solid with no wires in it.
The jam beneath was as dark as ebony, melting into the scone below.
The scone tasted like sweetened bread so creamy and spongy.
3 cups Edmonds standard flour
6 tsp Edmonds baking powder
¼ tsp salt
extra Meadow Fresh milk
75g butter
1 to 1½ cups Meadow Fresh milk, approximately
Preheat the oven to 220ºC. Grease or flour a baking tray.
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Rub in the butter with your fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
Add the milk and quickly mix with a round-bladed table knife to a soft dough. For light and tender scones the mixture should be quite soft and a little sticky. Scrape the dough onto the floured baking tray and flour the top.
Working quickly, pat the dough out to 2cm thickness and with a floured knife cut it into 12 even-sized pieces, then separate the scones to allow 2cm space between them. Brush the tops with milk.
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Place on a wire rack to cool, wrapped in a clean tea towel to keep them soft.
The Disgusting Dinner.
As the horrid, putrid, vile smell drifted down the hallway and creped through the door into my room I sensed my worst enemy being set on the table the bell rang.
I reluctantly got up off my bed but the moment I walked Out of the door I froze like a Popsicle in the freezer they're sitting on the table. It was my worst enemy! yams!
I tried to move but I was rooted to the spot. On the inside I was boiling with fear like a pot Of water ready to be used. I Slowly front of me on my plate.
walked to the table and sat down. Mum put a steaming hot yam in
Slooooooowly reached out my hand to pick it up and put it in my mouth I chewed and swallowed my face turned green and my eyes started watering. It was so gross I felt like vomiting. I ran for a drink of water to wash out the disgusting taste.
